The Government of Andhra Pradesh has taken a remarkable step with its flagship program named “One Family One Entrepreneur scheme”. Under this program, more than 1,000 women across the state acquired smartphones and electric scooters. This program is launched on International Women’s Day in support of the mission for the elimination of poverty in Municipal areas (MEPMA) Rapido. This is also famous by the name “AP Rapido scheme”.

Distribution of vehicles:
In the first phase, women were provided with more than 1000 electric vehicles across 9 cities of Andhra Pradesh.
- Visakhapatnam & Vijayawada: 400 vehicles each
- Nellore & Guntur: Around 50 e-scooters each
- Kurnool, Tirupati, Kakinada, Rajahmundry: Around 25 each
