In West Bengal, the electric rickshaw is known as a toto and preferred transport mode. They are silent, non-polluting and provide affordable rides in towns and semi-urban areas. But before you start driving, now West Bengal government has made it mandatory to get a TTEN enrollment number. - Valid Aadhar Verification is Required.
- Toto speed must not exceed 25 km/h as per government safety regulations.
- Each toto can carry maximum of 4 passengers.
- Monthly operational charges must be paid on time, and failure to pay can attract a Rs 500 fine.
- Providing fake information in your application must lead to rs 5000 fine and TAN cancellation.
